Only with a parent or guardian. Under AGLC rules, anyone under 18 can enter a retail liquor store only if they're with a parent, guardian or adult spouse who is there to buy liquor. Staff must check ID for anyone who looks under 25 and comes in alone. Minors can't buy alcohol, even when accompanied.
It depends on the store. AGLC lets each liquor store decide whether to accept returns from customers, so return policies vary. At City Liquor, returns are accepted with your receipt. Ask staff for details.
Often, yes. Alberta liquor stores bring in products through registered liquor agencies, so special orders are usually possible. City Liquor takes special orders: tell our staff the product name and bottle size, and we'll check whether we can get it and how long it will take.
Many do, and City Liquor sells bagged ice, which saves a second stop before a party. As a rule of thumb, plan about 1 lb (roughly half a kilo) of ice per guest for drinks, and more on hot days or if you're chilling bottles in tubs. Our party drinks calculator includes ice.
