How Late Are Liquor Stores Open in Alberta? A Late-Night Guide for St. Albert
When the store closes, what Alberta allows, and how to make a late run on St Albert Trail quick, easy and safe.
Read the guideCity Liquor sits right in Inglewood, on the east side of St. Albert Trail just south of Boudreau Road. For most of the neighbourhood, it's a drive of a minute or two.
If you live in Inglewood, City Liquor is the neighbourhood store on your doorstep. We're at 260-525 St Albert Trail, on the east side of the Trail, a short way south of the Boudreau Road intersection and directly across the Trail from Lacombe Park. Mapping data puts the store inside Inglewood's boundary, a few hundred metres from the middle of the neighbourhood. Many Inglewood streets (Inglewood Drive, Ironwood Drive, Inverness Crescent, Irongate Place) are only a few blocks away.
That makes us an easy stop on the way home along St. Albert Trail, or a quick trip out from the crescents behind the plaza when you realize there's nothing cold in the fridge before the game starts.

We keep it simple: cold beer from singles to cases, a wide variety of wine with chilled bubbles, spirits for sipping and mixing, and coolers, seltzers and ciders for the patio. Parking is free and right out front, and debit, credit and tap are all accepted. Not sure what to pick? Our staff are happy to help you find something you'll like.
We're open from 10 AM every day, until 10 PM Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, so a late pickup on the weekend is easy. Hosting? Our party drinks calculator will help you work out how much to buy.
Being this close is one more reason to leave the car at home if you're going to be drinking. Alberta doesn't allow open alcohol in public places, apart from signed, designated picnic areas in certain parks. In St. Albert those include Lacombe Lake Park, just across the Trail, and Kingswood Park, between 11 AM and 9 PM. Our guide to Alberta liquor laws covers the details.
Please enjoy responsibly. You must be 18+ to buy alcohol in Alberta, and if you're drinking, plan a safe ride home.
